Stumpbone is a personal experiment in creative expression created by a humble, midwest boy, who has found happiness in art, nature, self exploration, global cultures, community, determination, independence, and any type of celebration of the power of human creation.

I am a designer, a photographer, a writer, an observer, a philosopher, a humanitarian, a DJ, a musician, a thinker, a believer, a leader and a follower.

I love music, street art, gallery art, performance art, pop art, film, culture, public transit, passion, fashion, snowboards, turntables, house beats, big beat, guitars, synthesizers, drums, cooking, dancing, beer, wine, bourbon, solar, electric, wind, tidal, geothermal, grilling, sauteing, broiling, sunshine, starlight, sandy beaches, fresh mountain snow, cities, country, coasts,  mountains, the open road on a vintage motorcycle or a vespas, french press coffee, electric, acoustic,  minimalism, maximalism, Animism, Buddhism, architecture, headphones, sub woofers, surround sound, amphitheaters, color, black and white, digital, analog, and above anything else, an always open, forward thinking mind.

When it comes down to it, this website is part of a dream goal I’ve always had for myself. I told myself a while back, that my dream life would be a life in which I could spend as much time as one could possibly spend celebrating creativity, whether it be creating myself, or enjoying the creations of others. The different architectural advancements of the world, the different life altering technological breakthroughs, the street art that is sending the cryptic and not so cryptic messages of the people, the designers ability to communicate a message, The hip hop emcee telling a sheltered culture of confused youth from the other side of the tracks exactly what they need to hear, the DJ giving us an ethereal escape from the mundane and repetitive, the artist begging us to challenge the way we have thought for our entire lives, the skateboarder pushing the boundaries of what we think is possible, taking photographs, writing, music, painting murals, wearing something different, creating a tattoo, building interactive environments.

This website is a step I’m taking towards that dream life.

I am always looking forward to taking on any exciting projects, whether it be logo, complete branding, web design, business card design, photography, writing, interactive marketing, or anything else you can come up with, so please feel free to contact me, but that is a small reason that this site exists.
